Obituary of Doris Miller

Doris P. Miller "Pauline" (nee Conner) Age 97. Passed away peacefully Thursday, December 10, 2009 at her late residence. Born December 5, 1912 in Burnt Prairie, IL to the late George L. and Dora Ann (nee Talkington) Conner. She was Chief Nurse during WWII at the Evacuation Hospital in the European Theatre. Preceded in death by her husband, Eldon R. Miller (2008); seven brothers and six sisters. Surviving are her son, Robert A. (Edythe) Miller of Joliet; three grandchildren, Kristin (fiance Aaron Nash), Nicholas and John Miller all of Joliet; one brother-in-law, Alden Miller of Peoria; two sisters-in-law, Lois (late Dr. Edward) Ward of Peoria and Helen (Daryl) Hildenbrand of Pontiac; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private family services were held. Memorials to Grace United Methodist Church would be appreciated. Arrangements by: FRED C.
