Detective Frank Miller
Age 38. Suddenly, Saturday, March 22, 2008 at his late residence. Born in Oak Lawn on August 12, 1969 to Harry and Donna Miller, he was a lifelong New Lenox resident. Graduate of Providence Catholic High School and Joliet Junior College with an Associates Degree in criminal justice. Employed by the City of Joliet as a police detective since 1991. Member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. He was selected Officer of the Year, along with his partner, Bruce Larson, by Cantigny Post VFW in 1995. Recipient of numerous departmental medals and commendations.
Survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Christine Miller of New Lenox; beloved father of Megan and Sarah Miller; his parents; dearest brother of Sandra (Donald) Hullinger of New Lenox and Cheri Miller Kurtz of New Lenox; fond uncle of Nolan and Allison Hullinger; Courtney Kurtz and Jacey Passehl; grandson of Harry C. Miller, Sr. of Palos Park, IL; and William and Sue Neitczke of Joliet; several fellow police officers and dear friends also survive.
Preceded in death by his grandmother, Gladys Miller.
Funeral Services for Detective Frank Miller will be Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Mokena.
