Obituary of Joseph Miller SR

Miller, Joseph W. Sr. Age 92, of Shorewood, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Fairview Care Center. He farmed for many years in Homer Township and enjoyed many different occupations throughout a long and productive life. He enjoyed being a member of the American Slovenian Club, where he also worked. His greatest pleasure was dancing, especially polka. Surviving are his dearest friend in the world of 34 years, Esther Bentley; one son, Joseph W. (Marla Beth) Miller, Jr. of Plainfield; one daughter, Leona (Bob Swanson) Enix of Oak Brook; five grandchildren, Timothy (Chris) Miller, Wendy Theves, Jodene (Gary) Bick, Bridgette (Brad) Egly and Britt (Judy) Enix; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph W. and Alice O. (Unger) Miller; and three sisters, Niveline Hurley, Josephine Thomas and Elizabeth Stalzer. Funeral Services for Joseph W. Miller, Sr. will be Monday, March 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery, Mokena. Visitation Sunday 2-6 p.m. at: FRED C.
