Obituary of Patricia Miller

Patricia A. Miller (nee Leith) Age 76. Sunday May 4, 2008. Peacefully at her late residence in Morris following a courageous battle with cancer, with her family by her side. Born in Elgin and a long time Morris area resident. Retired from Wal Mart after many years of service in 1996. Formerly employed at the Morris Country Club. A member of Martha Circle at First United Methodist Church in Morris. Patricia was an avid golfer who won many club events at the Morris Country Club and participated in amateur golfing events in Chicago. Some of her favorite past times were art and crafts, sewing, knitting and painting. Preceded by her husband, William E. Miller (2002); her parents William and Gladys Leith. Survived by one son, William J. (Lisa) Miller of North Carolina; two daughters, Pamela (Rand) Veerman of Normal, IL, Sandy (John) Bednarik of Morris; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, William (the late Della) of Elgin, Thomas (Judy) of Elgin and Robert (Susan) Leith of Aiken, South Carolina. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services for Patricia A. Miller will be Thursday, May 8, 2009 at 6 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Doc Newcomb officiating. As it was Patricia's final request cremation rites have been accorded. Private inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
