Morin, Violet M.
(nee Hennessy)
Late of Crest Hill. Passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home from complications of Lymphoma. Born October 9, 1929 in Joliet, attended Joliet Public Schools and graduated from St. Francis Academy. Employed at Kline's Department Store and as an operator for Illinois Bell. Later, Union National Bank, Boston Store and Joliet Public Schools Food Service Administration. Married Roger R. Morin on June 12, 1954 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Joliet. An active member in many community organizations including a Cub Scouts Den Mother, Chaney/Monge Band Parents, Sweet Adeline's Singers and Leeza's Place where she enjoyed crocheting with her dear lady friends for charity. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger; parents, Esther (Brandolino) an Italian immigrant, and Charles B. Hennessy; and brother, Jack. She is survived by her son, Roger C. Morin of Chicago; daughter, Susan (Skip) Drafke of Joliet and son, Joel S. Morin of Joliet; her beloved grandson, Nicholas Drafke of Chicago and precious granddaughter, Lauren Drafke of Joliet. Also surviving are her dear sisters-in-law, Margaret Morin and Carol (Melvin) Boban of Joliet, with whom she traveled the world. Closest cousin, Shirley Jurisic of Sacramento, CA, plus many wonderful cousins, nieces and nephews, high school classmates and friends she had known for many years and the Weight Support group of friends whose friendships she dearly cherished. Private family funeral services were held with interment at St. Patrick Cemetery in Joliet. Memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements by:
