Obituary of Marie Muha

Marie A. Muha (nee Vancas) Age 89. Passed away peacefully Thursday, December 24, 2009 surrounded by her family at the home of her son. Born July 31, 1920 in Joliet, and a lifelong resident until moving to Sacramento, CA six years ago. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle parish for 42 years, Joliet Catholic High Mother's Club, Queens of Carmel where she was former secretary, and the Croation Fraternal Union. Marie was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother whose life revolved around her faith and her family. Survived by one son, William A. (Zara) Muha; two granddaughters, Sharon M. Muha and Susan M. Muha; a niece, Judith (Vancas) Dehm; and nephews, Donald W. Vancas and Robert J. Trizna. Preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Andrew P. Muha; her parents, Frank Vancas and Josephine (Juricic) Vancas; one brother, Francis Vancas; one sister, Josephine(Vancas) Trizna; and numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services for Marie A. Muha will be Thursday December 31, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery.
