Obituary of John Mulcahy

John B. Mulcahy "Jack" Age 72. Passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at the home of his daughter, Mary, in Fontana, WI. Born and raised in Chicago to the late William and Marie (nee Lucette) Mulcahy, he was a resident of Joliet for 45 years. Graduate of Fenwick High School in Oak Park, and attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, AL. A veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a manufacturers representative in the food business for 43 years. Retired from Brach's Candy Company and Acosta-PMI. John and his late wife, Marianne, enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the world. Preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Marianne (nee Hopps) Mulcahy (2005); parents; two brothers, William and Robert Mulcahy; and a sister in infancy. Loving father of Molly (Brian) Smith of Dixon, IL, Mary (Daniel) Maus of Fontana, WI, Ann (Shaun) Walder of North Aurora, IL and Clare (Chad) Rudd of Fontana, IL; grandfather "Pa" of ten, Abby, Margaret and Kalen Smith; Kevin and Nora Maus; Patrick, Flynn and Molly Walder; and Meghan and baby Rudd. Funeral Services for John B. Mulcahy will be Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Mt.
