Obituary of Lillian Bednar

Lillian B. Bednar (nee Twarowski) Age 83. Saturday May 8, 2010 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born in Chicago, she was a long time Joliet area resident. Member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew S. Bednar; her parents, Frank and Victoria (nee Gniewek) Twarowski; siblings, Helen, Jean, William and Irene; grandson, Daniel Andrew Wilgren. Survived by her daughters, Sharon (Richard) Wagner of Island Lake and Debra (Gary) Michalowski of Joliet; five grandchildren, Eric Wilgren, Kara (Joey) Dillon, Shannon (John) Bradbury, Christopher Wagner, and Shaun Wagner; seven great-grandchildren, Cash and Daisy Dillon; Asaph, Joel, Corrie and Philip Bradbury; and Emma Wagner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lil was well known for her creative sewing and decorating, as well as being a great baker. We will all miss her pizza! Funeral Services for Lillian B. Bednar will be Friday May 14, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL.
