Obituary of Mary Murphey

Murphey, Mary V. "Ginny" (nee Everts) Age 64. Passed away at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood on December 30, 2011. Mary spent more than 20 years teaching Sunday School at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale. She was a member of the school board and Band Parents Association of Rockdale Grade School, where she also was a former cheerleading coach for one year at St. Joseph School. In later years, she was a Teachers Aide at Rockdale Grade School and Joey Fischer School of Joliet. Mary enjoyed puzzles, Sudoku and being with her family. Survived by her husband Earl; five children, Daniel, Wesley, James, Mary and Audrey; two sisters, Sue and Beth; various extended family and relatives also survive. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary (nee McCormick); and one sister, Carol O'Toole. Funeral Services for Mary Murphey will be Friday, January 6, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rockdale, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
