Florence Nasenbeny
nee Tezak "Flo"
Age 84. Passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at her late residence.
Born November 30, 1925 in Joliet to the late Anthony J. and Mary (nee Kramer) Tezak, she was a lifetime resident. A graduate of Joliet Township High School, Class of 1943 and Jackson Park School of Nursing in 1946. Flo also received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Loyola University.
Survived by two sisters, Mary Helen Tezak and Virginia (late Ralph) Papesh. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her husband James (2008), her parents and one brother, Robert A. Tezak.
Flo was employed for several years as a plant nurse at General Refractories/the Brickyards. She then was employed at St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet until retiring in 1994 as a Registered Nurse. She volunteered her nursing services at the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic from 1998 until late 2009, where she gave over 1600 volunteer hours and was also a lifelong volunteer with the American Red Cross.
She was a world traveler and enjoyed reading.
All friends and relatives are invited to meet on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Avenue, Joliet, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum. No visitation. In lieu of flowers, masses or memorials in her name to the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic would be appreciated. Arrangements by:
