Obituary of Michael Negus

Michael W. Negus Age 40. Died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at home of an apparent heart attack. Born in Sterling, IL on February 11, 1970, the beloved son of Paul and Judy (nee Sparks) Negus of Joliet. He had resided in Joliet most of his life. Loving father of Michael Paul Negus; dearest brother of Mark (Kim) Negus and Jodi (George IV) Hoffman; fond uncle of Louis and Lucas Negus; Hannah Miller; George Henry Hoffman V, also his Godson; nephew of James (Bonnie) Sparks, Ruth Sparks; Marjorie (Glen) Johnston, Mary Jo Negus, and Charles Negus; numerous cousins including Patty Jo Carpenter; his Goddaughter, Abby Harvish; and his best friend, Chris Harvish also survive. Member of the IBEW Local #9 in Chicago. He was an avid Bears and Cubs fan, who enjoyed frisbee golf, euchre and poker. Funeral Services for Michael W. Negus will be Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. John Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
