Obituary of Maureen Bedore

Bedore, Maureen L. (nee Sullivan) Age 77, of Crest Hill, and formerly of Naperville, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born September 15, 1934 in Chicago, she was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse in the obstetrics department of Mercy Hospital in Chicago, and later Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. Maureen was a loving wife and devoted mother. She was very important to her grandchildren, as they were to her. A long time member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville, and recently the Cathedral of St. Raymond in Joliet. She loved to read, especially enjoying mysteries. Survived by her two children, Gerry (Patty) Bedore of Joliet and Jane (John Orr) Murray of Lisle; eight grandchildren, Craig, Stacy, Christopher, Scott, and Shannon Bedore, and Drew, A.J. and Joey Murray; one brother, Maurice (Dorothy) Sullivan of Lemont; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond R. Bedore (1995); and her parents, Maurice P. and Lillian (nee Boehner) Sullivan. Funeral Services for Maureen L. Bedore will be Friday, February 24, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, will be private.
