Obituary of Elizabeth Nelson

Elizabeth L. Nelson "Betty" Age 95. Passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side. Born in Mason County in the family home and a lifelong Grundy County, Coal City and Morris resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold M. Nelson in 1975, whom she married on Valentines Day February 14, 1956 in Kansas City, MO; her parents; six brothers and six sisters. Survived by her loving son, Harry (Debbi) Nelson of Morris; one sister, Ella Mae (late "Cookie") Vilt of Coal City; three granddaughters, Amie Nelson, Erin Duggins both of Morris, and Ashley (Tim) Wills of Plainfield, IL; one grandson, Ryan Wahl of Batavia, IL; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A Celebration of Betty's life will take place on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the American Legion Hall, 212 W. Washington Street in Morris, IL where friends may gather from 1:00-4:00 p.m. As it was Betty's request, Cremation Rites have been accorded.
