Joseph J. Nemeth
"Joe"
Age 97. Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Rosewood Care Center. Born in Joliet and a lifelong resident. A WW II U.S. Army Veteran serving in France and Germany. Retired from Grief Brothers Cooperage following 44 years of service. Former member of VFW Cantigny Post #367 and the American Slovenian Club. Joe was an avid gardener and in his early years, a fisherman.
Survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret (Sablatura) Nemeth; one sister, Ann (late Frank) Reichardt. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary; sisters, Mary Nemeth, Rose (Thomas) Mores, Jay (Randall) Young, Elizabeth (James) Davidson, Irene (Tony) Culyat, Helen (Ben) Reitmaier and Ella Nemeth in infancy.
Funeral Services for Joseph J. Nemeth will be Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 11:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Interment Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. Memorials in his memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 3-6 p.m. and Thursday morning 10:00 a.m. until time of services at:
