Obituary of Grant Ohlson JR

Grant W. Ohlson, Jr. "Sonny" Age 81. Entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 24, 2008. Born in Joliet to the late Grant and Catherine (nee Dorsey) Ohlson; he was a lifelong resident. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Robertson) for 57 years (married Aug. 18, 1951); also survived by his children, Grant III (Jean), Debra Ann, John (Lavonne), Loretta (Scott) McWilliams, and Thomas (Paula); his sister, Bernice (Lou, deceased) Chignoli; 13 grandchildren, Gwen (Joe) Smith, Brenna, Grant M., John, James, Scott and Zachary McWilliams, Reed and Cooper; step-grandchildren, Crystn (Mike) Zloza, Lauren (Jeff) Duncan and Samantha Lowery; his brother-in-law, John J. (Henrietta) Robertson; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Former owner of Grant's Appliance, retiring in 1993 following over 45 years. The Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Grant's caregivers. All friends and relatives are invited to meet Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Avenue, Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
