Obituary of Dorlynn Olin

Dorlynn M. Olin (nee Steiner) Age 89. At rest Monday, September 8, 2008 at her late residence, with her family by her side. Born in Joliet to the late August and Gertrude (nee Fuga) Steiner; she was a life long area resident. Formerly employed in the x-ray department at St. Joseph Hospital. An avid bowler who was inducted into the Will County Hall of Fame. In earlier days, she played softball for the Joliet Highjackers, the only women's team from the 1930's who had no choice but to play against the men's teams. Dorlynn had a passion for dogs and horses. Surviving are her two children, Carla M. Clark of Mokena, and Perry (Judith) Olin of Plainfield; four grandchildren, Hayley (Steve) Boyd, Aaron, Jason and Justin Olin; one great-grandson, Logan Boyd; dear aunt of three. Preceded in death by her husband, Earl K. Olin (Sept. 9, 1995); her parents; and one brother, August Steiner, Jr. All friends and relatives are invited to meet Thursday, September 11, 2008 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. Second Avenue, New Lenox, IL for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials in her name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
