Orasco, Philip John Age 83. Born in Joliet, IL. Passed away peacefully at his home Monday, September 12, 2011. Philip is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Stella (nee Arreguin). His loving children, Cheryl Lukas, Susan (Rafael) Barreto, Rick Orasco and Laura (David) Gray. Seven grandchildren, RJ and Robert (Ashley Gritsuk) Miranda, Stephanie Barreto, Philip M. and Adyson Orasco, Ashley and Aaron Gray, and two great-grandchildren, Chase and Gabriela Miranda. Also survived by his brothers Eli and Raymond Orasco and sister, Frances Price. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Mary Orasco, two brothers, Paul and Thomas and sister Bonnie King. Philip was a United States Navy Veteran and life member of Stone City VFW #2199, lifetime member of Ingalls Park A.C., and member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Channahon. Retired from General Motors Fisher Body after 31 years of dedicated service. Philip was very devoted to his family. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved attending their school functions and sporting events. He loved fishing, dancing, music and especially playing the maracas. Phil will be remembered for always having a joke to tell, his love to kid around and sharing his many pieces of wisdom. Funeral Services for Philip J. Orasco will be Friday, September 16, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Ann Catholic Church, Channahon for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to the Veterans of Foreign Wars would be greatly appreciated. Visitation Thursday 2-8 p.m. at: FRED C.
