Palmer, Roy R.
Age 69. At rest Thursday, June 14, 2012 at his late residence in Big Lake, TX. Born in Osceola, AR to Phillip and Ruby (Jackson) Palmer, he resided in Wilmington until relocating to Big Lake in 2000. Retired from the Operating Engineers Local #150. Member of the Union for 44 years. Roy enjoyed fishing and stock car racing.
Surviving are his loving wife, Phyllis (McCord) Palmer of Big Lake, TX; six children, Connie Palmer of Morris, IL, Roy Scott Palmer of Toledo, IL, Corinna Palmer of Wilmington, Daniel (Debbie) Palmer of Casey, IL, James (Kimberly) Palmer of Minooka, and April (David) Loveland of Minooka; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his parents; his siblings, Sherman, Melvin, Andrew "Hound Dog", Phillip "Hopper" Palmer, Betty Findlay, Baby "Virginia" Marlo and Cissy Webb; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Funeral Services for Roy R. Palmer will be Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation WEDNESDAY 9:00 a.m. until time of services at:
