Mary M. Paluzzi
"Marie"
(nee Krupianik)
Age 98. Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Rosewood Care Center. Born in Joliet on May 11, 1912 to the late Lawrence and Frances (nee Konopek) Krupianik. In 1985 Mrs. Paluzzi moved to Lake Worth, FL and returned to Joliet in 2004 and became a member of the Church of St. Jude. A former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and St. Mary Carmelite, where she was an active volunteer in all three parishes. Marie was so devoted to God that she said that "she hoped God had a job for her in heaven." She so loved our Lord Jesus she never wanted to stop helping Him.
Survived by two sons, Ronald (Carol) Paluzzi of Joliet and Raymond (Lynn) Paluzzi of Florida; one daughter in-law Cathy Paluzzi (Carl Baker) of Florida; two grandchildren, Joseph (Elizabeth) Paluzzi, and Rachel Giordano; one granddaughter in-law Patti Paluzzi; two great-grandchildren, Amanda and Michael Paluzzi; one sister, Cecilia "Ceil" Valek; and one brother, Leo Krupianik, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Gene Paluzzi; grandson, Daniel Paluzzi; two brothers, John and Leonard Krupianik; and one sister, Elizabeth Krupianik.
Mrs. Paluzzi retired from Gerlach Barklow (Rustcraft Greeting Card Company) where she was a secretary.
Marie will always be remembered by family and friends as a loving and generous person; she was always the first to volunteer her time and efforts to others. She constantly gave of herself while expecting nothing in return, and those who knew Marie felt blessed to have her in their lives. She will be loved forever and missed dearly.
Funeral Services for Mary M. Paluzzi will be Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to the Church of St. Jude for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
