Helen M. Benac (nee Starasinic) Age 90. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Tabor Hills Health Center in Naperville. Born in Joliet and a lifetime resident. Member of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, John A. Benac; parents, John and Barbara (nee Brodaric) Starasinic; three brothers, Edward, Anthony and John (Dorothy) Starasinic. Survived by her son, James (Sharon) Benac of North Las Vegas, NV; grandson, John (Cheryl) Benac of Plainfield; granddaughter, Yvonne (Hector) Menchaca of Apple Valley, MN; three great-grandchildren, Victoria Menchaca; Jeremy and Jeanette Zimmerman; three sisters, Barbara (Robert) Smerkar of Crest Hill, Josephine (Edwin) St. Germain of Joliet and Margaret (William) Norton of Plainfield; three brothers, Louis (Loretta) of Joliet, Joseph (Mary Lou) of Joliet and Leonard (Jan) Starasinic of Bulverde, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Helen M. Benac will be Monday, October 1, 2007 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery.
