Obituary of Stephen Panko DR

Panko, Dr. Stephen M. Age 82. Peacefully Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Michigan City, IN with his family by his side following complications arising from congestive heart failure. Born in Yonkers, NY and a resident of both Chicago and Michigan City, IN. A member of the United States Navy retiring at the rank of Captain after 26 years of service. Stephen was a 55 year mason. Preceded by his parents. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years Jessie Symington Panko; one son, Douglas (Kathy Dooley) Panko; one daughter, Linda J.(Tim Snader) Ringstad; 2 grandchildren, Tiege Dooley-Panko and Emma L. Ringstad; one brother, John Panko; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Dr. Stephen M. Panko will be held Friday May 25, 2012 at 8:00 P.M. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Road Joliet. Private Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with full military honors conducted under the auspices of the United States Navy.
