Obituary of Wanda Partilla

Wanda E. Partilla (nee Pope) Age 68, of Joliet, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home surrounded by her devoted family. A lifelong member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, where she taught CCD. Worked for 15 years for Kmart in New Lenox, where she was a Pharmacy Technician and bookkeeper. Wanda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be remembered as an angel who touched the lives of many. Survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Edward J. Partilla, Jr.; one son, Anthony (Kathleen) Partilla; four daughters, Lori Partilla, Sandra (Kenn) Hunter, Cynthia (Shawn) Cisneros, and Jennifer (Eric) Tucker; nine grandchildren; six sisters, Dorothy Henniger, Lola Dileto, Mary Willis, Rose Wysong, Joyce Tafoya, and Bobbi Honiotes; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded by her parents, L. Lester and O. Alberta (nee Bush) Pope. Funeral Services for Wanda E. Partilla will be Friday, December 12, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
