Obituary of Gerald Paul

Gerald E. Paul "Jerry" Age 57. Passed suddenly, Monday, April 14, 2008 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Born June 14, 1950 in Oakland, CA; he relocated to Shorewood in 1952. Attended St. Jude School and graduated from Joliet West High School Class of 1970. Employed at the Joliet Diocese from 1967 to 1971; and was employed at Dicke Manufacturing in Downers Grove for the past three and a half years. Preceded in death by his parents, Gerald H. and Patricia Ann (nee Whalen) Paul; maternal grandmother, Barbara Ann Whalen; one sister, Regina Paul (1951, 18 months old), and one step-son William Robert Harris (2007). Survived by his wife, Phyllis J. (nee Hopper) Paul of Joliet; three sons, Jerry (Malia) Paul of Apex, NC, Brian Paul and Robert (Taylor) Paul; one daughter, Jamie Crete all of Illinois; grandchildren, Alexis and Makayla Crete; Brayden and Sydney Paul; one brother Robert (Tamara) Paul of Riverside, CA., one sister, Barbara Paul-Simpson of Maui, Hawaii; two nephews, Jesse G. and David H. Simpson; great nieces and great nephews, David and Olivia; and Valerie and Marcus. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Rita Harris (Duane Heck), Robby Robbins (fiancee Jillian Ferrero) and Richard Harris all of Illinois as well as his step-grandchildren, Chad Vespie, Kyron Cantelo, Karen, Ronald, Johnny, Brandon and Nicole Harris. All friends and relatives are invited to gather Friday, April 18, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Minooka from 10:00 a.m. until the Memorial Mass begins at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Minooka.
