Obituary of Susan Paulson

Susan Lynn Paulson Age 62, of Crest Hill, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her devoted family. Born February 10, 1948 in Joliet, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Ronelva (Williams) Paulson. After many years at home raising her family, she worked for Lockport Township High School for 20 years. She was also an active member of Grace United Methodist Church and a driving force behind the Lockport West High School reunions. Susan was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and cherished sister and beloved aunt. She had a passion for photography and celebrating special occasions, earning the title of "cake administrator" from her school family for her baking skills. She will also long be remembered for her infectious laugh. Surviving are her children, Brian (Amy) Smith and Heather (Brad) Linko; two brothers, Scott Paulson and Brett (Shirley) Paulson; six grandchildren, Nate and Alex Smith, and Jacob, Jonah, Hannah, and Rebecca Linko; and her nieces and nephews. Susan Paulson will lie in state on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Grace United Methodist Church, Avalon and Larkin Avenue, Joliet from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
