Obituary of Mary Picha

Mary E. Picha (nee Tomac) Age 96. Monday, September 21, 2009 at Provena Villa Franciscan. Born in Joliet and a lifetime resident. Lifetime member of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church; she was a member of the JoAnnites. Mary loved to read and was an avid gardener. She thoroughly enjoyed her family and her home life. Survived by her daughter, Mary Kay Baldigo-Crook (Bill) of Crest Hill; one son, William (Renee) Picha of Florida; grandmother of John Picha, Joseph (Ruth) Picha; Jessica (Ron) Gingrey, Matthew (Tricia) Hudson; Joan (Don) Grimm and Robert J. Baldigo; proud great-grandmother of five; her siblings, Katherine (late Al) Hochevar, and August (Kay) Tomac. Preceded in death by her husband, John J. Picha (1964); her siblings, Jean (late Steve) Rubocki, Andrew (late Frances) Tomac, Sophie (late Joe) Link, Thomas (Patricia) Tomac, John (Cele)Tomac Jr. and Stephanie (Pete) Maryanovich; her son-in-law, Bob Baldigo; and one granddaughter, Kathy Baldigo Yack (2003). Funeral services for Mary Picha will be Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Provena Villa Franciscan, Joliet Area Community Hospice or Joliet Chapter of the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated.
