"Mickey"
Age 81. Suddenly, Monday, January 3, 2011 at his late residence following a brief illness. Born in Joliet, he was a lifelong resident. Retired from ComEd Overhead Department. A United States Army combat veteran of the Korean War. Graduate of Joliet Township High School Class of 1947. Founding member of CECO Recreation Club. An avid fisherman and excellent cook. He was a 1945 AAU State Champion swimmer.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years, Jeanne (Dolinshek) Pierson (1982).
Survived by Uncle Bill Pierson of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; five children, Mick (Janet) Pierson of Morris, Jan (Barry) Johnson of Littleton, CO, Tom (Nancy) Pierson of Elwood, Paul (Renee) Pierson of Libertyville, and Jeff (Lisa) Pierson of Joliet; eight grandchildren, Kyle (Sara) Johnson, Emily (Matthew) Bridges, Susana, Melissa, Daniel, Matthew, Anna and Jack Pierson.
Funeral Services for Mickey Pierson will be Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Private family interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to a local charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday 3-7 p.m. and Friday morning 10:00 a.m. until time of services at:
