Obituary of Carol Benton

Carol A. Benton Age 64. Suddenly, Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Silver Cross Hospital. Born in Joliet, and a lifelong Joliet, Lockport and Crest Hill resident, and for the last six years a resident of Salem Village. Retired from the Veterans Administration after 36 years of proud and faithful service. Preceded by her husband, Harry J. Benton, Jr., and her mother, Marie Hray. Survived by one son, Harry J. Benton, III of Joliet; one daughter, Erika Benton of Minooka; two grandchildren, Sydney and Hayden Benton; her father, John Hray; and three brothers, Bob (Alice), Denny (Joy Schank) and Rick Hray, all of Joliet. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral services for Carol A. Benton will be Monday, December 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
