Obituary of Kenneth Prodehl

Kenneth A. Prodehl "Ken" Age 62. At rest Sunday August 24, 2008 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born August 29, 1945 in Joliet to the late Lawrence W. and Lucy (Zimmerman) Prodehl. He was a lifelong resident. Graduate of Joliet Catholic High School (JCA). Formerly employed by ComEd for 22 years until becoming a realtor with Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell. Member of the Three Rivers Association of Realtors. Surviving are his loving wife of 27 years, Sandy (Thomson) Prodehl of Joliet; five children, Christine (Greg) Galindo of Corpus Christi, TX, Kimberly Keiser of Joliet, Greg (Jennifer) Prodehl of Sacramento, CA, Toby Coover of Sandwich, IL and Dawn (Darrin) Butler of Houston, TX; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda and Anthony Galindo, Justin and Joshua Keiser, Morgan and Anna Prodehl, Brandon Prodehl, Tyler and Courtney Butler; one great-grandson, Travis Ceniceros-Galindo; two brothers, Larry J. (Rachelle) Prodehl of Joliet and Ed (Sandy) Prodehl of Burr Ridge, IL; his mother-in-law, Edie (Thomson) Cianflone of Joliet; brother-in-law of Jim (Penny) Thomson of Channahon, Charlene Pastore of Joliet and John (Laure) Thomson of Cottonwood, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The Prodehl family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Joliet Area Community Hospice for their sincere dedication and loving care shown to Ken and his family throughout this most difficult time. Funeral services for Kenneth A. Prodehl will be Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Rev. Melissa Hood officiating. As it was Ken's final request, cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
