Obituary of Clarence Prosise JR
Clarence C. "Chuck" Prosise, Jr.
Age 87, of Channahon, IL., passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at his late residence.
Born in Detroit, MI. November 24, 1923 to the late Laura (Rose) and Clarence Prosise, Sr., he was raised in Clinton, TN. and had resided in Channahon since 1956. A US Navy veteran who served during WWII.
Beloved husband of 65 years to Mary Lou (Tarlini); Loving father of James (Anita) of Minooka, IL, William (Winifred) of New Jersey and Charles (Michelle) Prosise of Iowa. Proud grandfather of James (Jennifer) Prosise, Jr., Mark (Debra) Prosise, Laura (Chad) Hrechko, Heather Prosise; Kimberly Prosise; Eric (Jody), Steve and Adam Prosise. Dear great grandpa of 7. Also survived by a half sister Marie (Bill) Lepart, step-brother Thomas Prosise and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; one sister Betty Hobbs, an infant brother and two grandsons in infancy.
Chuck retired from Caterpillar Inc. 28 years ago, after 32 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars and had restored a Model A to its' original specs and many Chevrolet Corvairs over the years.
Funeral services for Clarence "Chuck" Prosise will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Ann Catholic Church, Channahon where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Private interment will take place at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice or St. Ann Church Organ Fund would be appreciated. Visitation Friday 4-8 pm at:
