Bernie was a retired engineer having been employed by Kemlite Corp. and Provena Health. He held multiple patents and had a very cognitive approach to troubleshooting and facilitating tasks. He was an avid collector, "more is better" was his motto, and the extreme do-it-yourselfer could find whatever he or she needed in Bernie's garage. He also had a knack for finding a great deal, whether or not the product or service was needed at the time. Although another source of excitement for Bernie, was counting the days until wintering in Florida, nothing made him happier than spending time with his grandchildren.
