Henry J. Quevedo
"Hank"
Age 76, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born in New York City, November 3, 1931 to the late John and Anna (Bulano) Quevedo, he was a resident of the Carbon Hill and Morris area the past 37 years. A U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran, Hank's military career spanned 14 years, including serving during the Korean War. He was formerly employed for many years as a Safety Inspector for the Army Corp. of Engineers.
He is survived by his family; his wife Rita; Sons, Henry (Jeri) Quevedo of Morris, Eugene Mortozie and Bill (Joanne) Mortozie, both of California; Grandchildren, Bryce and Gavin Quevedo, Rita and Julia Mortozie.
Mr. Quevedo was preceded in death by his son Adam and his parents.
Visitation will take place Friday, December 28, 2007 from 11 a.m. until a prayer service begins at 12 noon at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 1201 W. Rt. 6 at Deerpath Dr. in Morris. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, IL.
