Obituary of George Ramirez

George L. Ramirez Age 50. Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, following a courageous battle with liver disease. Born in Puerto Rico, he was a lifelong Chicago area resident. Attended DePaul University. A U.S. Army Veteran. Preceded in death by one brother, Miguel Ramirez. Survived by his loving wife, Maida Ramirez; two sons, Joshua and Michael Ramirez all of Plainfield; his parents, Felix and Ana Maria Matos of Florida; one brother, Felix (Lupe) Matos of Chicago; one sister, Wanda (Matthew) Cammarano of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet, with Rev. Sylvia Munoz officiating. A prayer service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 12:00 noon with interment immediately following at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
