Obituary of Mary Reposh

Mary J. Reposh (nee Krasovich) Age 99, of Joliet, passed away Monday, February 16, 2009 at Provena Villa Franciscan Nursing Home. Mother of Mary Frances (Bill) Barrett, who provided love and care for her, and Frank J. (Tonya) Reposh; also surviving are three grandchildren, Michelle (Robert) Larson of Lisle, Robb (Tracy) Barrett of Elk Grove Village, and Annette Riffel; one sister, Frances Kocen of Slovenia; four great-grandsons, Jack Larson, Miles Barrett, Sam Larson and Logan Barrett; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Steelton, PA on July 7, 1909, Mary returned with her mother, Mary. to Austria Hungary (now Slovenia) because of the death of her father, Joseph Sukley in 1911. She returned to the Joliet area in 1932 and married Frank Reposh, Sr. (deceased in 1958). Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Franc Draginc and Anton Jacklic of Slovenia; two sisters, Katherine Stariha Lockner and Theresa (Veber) Potocnic both of Joliet; grandson, Frank J. Reposh; and stepsons, Robert and Albert (Agnes) Reposh. Member of St. Joseph Church and past member of the Altar and Rosary, and Rosarian Society. Also member of K.S.K.J., Mary worked at the former Union National Bank (First Midwest) and St. Joseph's Hospital. Funeral Services for Mary J. Reposh will be Friday, February 20, 2009 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
