John Richard John Richard, 69 of Yorkville, formerly of Shorewood, IL passed away at home on January 25, 2009, after a prolonged illness. Born on March 29, 1939 in Chicago. He was the son of the late John R. and Eugenia A. Richard. On March 27, 1970 he married his beloved Martha Sue who survives. John graduated with a business degree from Roosevelt University and held management positions with International Harvester, J I Case, Pullman, Saudi Arabian Airlines based in Jeddah, S. A. and most recently Pampered Chef. John and Martha fulfilled their dreams of world travel which included camping near and snorkeling in the Red Sea. His favorite hobby was fishing. Also surviving are his children, Linda (Gene) Rice of Shorewood, Thomas (Maureen) Ford of Aurora, Cheri Jones (Jim) Wade of Beggs, OK, Lillian Jordan of Houston, TX and Michael Todd of Rosenberg, TX; a sister, Melanie (Walter) Frett of Johnsburg, IL and a brother, Jim (Karen) Richard of Tecumseh, KS; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Earl Ray Roark and an infant grandson, Ryan Ford. John and family wish to extend the most heart felt thanks to Dr. Spyro Analytis of Morris, IL and Dr. Kevin Barton and Dr. Mellion at Cardinal Bernadine Cancer Center in Maywood, IL for their most compassionate care. Funeral Services for John Richard will be Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
