Obituary of Martha Richard

Martha "Sue" Richard (nee Roark) Martha Sue Richard, age 72, of Yorkville, formerly of Shorewood, IL. passed away at home with her children at her side on March 26, 2010 after a prolonged illness. Born in Missouri on June 29, 1937. She was preceded in death by husband, John (2009), parents Allen T. and Clestie Roark, infant sister Nettie Marie Roark, brother Earl Ray Roark and infant grandson Ryan Matthew Ford. Martha and John fulfilled their dreams of world travel which included camping near and snorkeling in the Red Sea while living in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Her favorite pastimes included quilting, fishing and shopping at Nordstroms. Surviving are her children, Linda (Gene) Rice of Shorewood, IL. Thomas (Maureen) of Aurora, IL. Cheri (Jim) Wade of Beggs, OK, Lillian Jordan of Houston TX, and Michael Todd of Rosenberg., TX., siblings Arbie Thomas (Phyllis) Roark of Tiptonville, TN, Linda (Randy) Crile of Turlock, CA. and Ronald (Dee) Roark of Grantsburg, IL, grandchildren Michael Hill of Chicago, IL, Jeffrey Jones of Glenpool, OK, Rachel, Amanda and Christopher Ford of Aurora, IL and John Jordan of Houston TX and numerous nephews and a niece and several cousins also survive. Family would like to extend the most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Spyro Analytis of Morris, IL, Morris Hospital Staff (ICU, 2E and 2S) and the Vitas Hospice Nursing staff Courtany, Carrie, Michelle and Dawn. Funeral Services for Martha Sue Richard will be Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
