Joseph W. Riley
Age 54. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Morris Hospital, with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Joliet and a lifelong Joliet area resident. A graduate of Joliet Catholic High School. Retired from the Laborers Union Local #96 Glen Ellyn, IL after over 35 years of service, where he served as President for the past 28 years. Member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #967 in Morris.
Preceded in death by his father, Marion "Frank" Riley (1998).
Survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Nancy "Jo Anne" Riley of Morris; two sons, Adam "Joey" Riley of Morris and Matthew Riley of Joliet; two daughters, Stephanie (Mike) Latta and Jennifer Riley both of Diamond, IL; five grandchildren, Kyle, Kaitlin, Karrina, Nicholas and Daniel; his mother, Mildred Riley of Joliet; two brothers, Frank (Kathy) Riley of New Lenox and Tim (Josey) Riley of Shorewood; two sisters, Darlene (Don) Wood of Shorewood and Carol (Charley) Durbin of Pensacola, FL; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Joe will be remembered for his kindness and generosity and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Funeral Services for Joseph W. Riley will be Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, with Fr. Richard Smith officiating. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to his family would be appreciated. Visitation TODAY, FRIDAY 3-7 p.m. at:
