Obituary of Emily Rolando

Rolando, Emily L. (nee Loose) Age 90. Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Joliet, February 25, 1920, to the late Gustav D. and Veronica (nee Dolegowski) Loose, she was a lifetime resident. Loving mother of Diane (Charles) Winter of Plainfield, Judy (Tim) Joseph of Joliet, Kathy (Jim) Holehan of Shorewood, and John C., Jr. (Susie) Rolando of Longmont, CO; proud grandmother of Charles Winter, Jr., Mike (Colleen) Winter; Aaron Joseph, Chad (Jenny) Joseph, Megan (Josh) Valle; Ryan Holehan, Brad Holehan; Justin and Courtney Rolando; devoted great-grandmother of Jersey Winter, Logan Joseph, Amanda Joseph and Colt Valle; dear sister of Beverly (Bob) McEvilly; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband, John C. (1987); siblings, Irene Hareld, Chuck Loose, Bernice Nieland, and Robert Loose. Emily worked at APSA (Ammunition Plant) in her younger years. She was also a member of the Italian American Commercial Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Cantigny Post #367. Emily's passion in life was raising her family which she did lovingly and tirelessly. She was a generous and compassionate mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Funeral Services for Emily L. Rolando will be Friday, February 4, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
