Obituary of Beverly Rowe

Beverly Diane Rowe "Bevy" Age 72, of Morris, passed away peacefully, early Saturday morning, January 24, 2009, after a year-long battle with lung cancer at her late residence with family by her side. Born on November 3, 1936 in Chicago to the late Chester and Murle Schimmel, Beverly had lived in Channahon, Minooka and Morris for most of her life. Graduated from Minooka High School class of 1955. Retired as a cashier from the Walmart in Morris in 1998. She enjoyed dancing, movies, dining out and traveling. Survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard A. Rowe; two sons, James L. More of Morris and Donald T. More of Channahon; one daughter, Julianna L. (Keith) Morrow of Channahon; stepdaughters Lori Sackett, Sandy Dennis, Margie (Ralph) Avery and Angelic (Carl) Wolf; grandchildren Eric Morrow, Brandon More and Emily More; 21 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great grandchildren; brother Donald K. (the late Shirley) Webster; and two sisters, Margurite Smith and Terry (Robert) Taylor. Preceded by her parents Chester and Murle Schimmel; sister Ferne Leask; and stepson Richard A. Rowe, Jr. A Memorial Service for Beverly D. Rowe will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to The Grundy County Hospice or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
