Obituary of Bertha Saieg

Bertha M. Saieg (nee Roderick) Age 89, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 5, 2012 at home surrounded by her devoted family. Born January 22, 1923 in Joliet, and a lifelong resident, she was an active member of Cantigny VFW Post #367 Auxiliary for many years. Bertha devoted her life to the care of her family which included 18 years being caregiver to her late husband. She will also be remembered for being a loving mother and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother Surviving are two sons, Kenneth (Paula) Saieg and Thomas (Vicki) Saieg; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Barbara and Erlene Saieg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Robert E. Saieg (June 24, 2008); her parents; two sons, Robert and Jack Saieg; two brothers, Richard and Robert; and two sisters, Loretta and Ardys. Funeral Services for Bertha's family and friends will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
