Obituary of Arlene Sanders

Arlene Elizabeth Minnie Sanders (nee Krueger) Arlene Sanders of Channahon, IL, formerly of Lockport entered her eternal resting place peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Grundy County Nursing Home in Morris with her daughter by her side. Arlene was born on January 29, 1918. One of four children born to Fred and Ann Krueger of Pearson, WI. Arlene had many roles besides wife and mother of three. She worked as a cook for a Lumberjack Camp and later after moving to Lockport for the Joliet Ammunition Plant as a Supervisor, and later at Crawford Bus Service as a bus driver. Arlene was the loving mother of and survived by her son Gerald "Gary" (Jan) Sanders, daughter Judy LeFevers-Madsen both of Channahon, IL, and son Ronald "Ron" (Judy) Sanders of Pearson, WI; her sister Elaine Gilmer of Ontonagon, MI, her brother Bud Krueger of Pearson, WI, and her sister Laverne Monot of Pickeral, WI; loving grandmother of twelve, great-grandmother of 26, and great-great grandmother of 13. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sanders, her parents, Fred and Ann Krueger, her brother-in-laws, Jess Gilmer and Gordon Monot, and sister-in-law Darlene Krueger. Memorial service for family and friends will be held at Living Word Bible Church, 304 E. Jackson (corner of Route 47 & Jackson Street), in Morris, IL on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Timothy Greene will officiate. Interment Antigo, WI. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Joliet Area Community Hospice. Arrangements by: FRED C. DAMES FUNERAL HOME 1201 W.
