Obituary of Robert Sanders

Sanders, Robert F. Passed away peacefully, Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Heritage Manor in Dwight. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran, and a union steward for Caterpillar, Inc. where he retired after over 30 years in 1984. He was a avid outdoorsman, his hobbies including fishing, trapping and hunting. He is survived by his children, David Sanders, Alan (Audrey) Sanders, Joanette Wilson, Becky (Cliff) Lasseter, Jane (Glen) Shelton and Jackie (Terry) Nelson; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded by his first wife, Mary Eubanks (1976); his second wife, Anna Sanders (1989); son, Robert Sanders (2008); and grandson, Bill Posey (2009). A Memorial Service for Robert F. Sanders will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel, with inurnment and military honors to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
