Obituary of Ernest Savala

Ernest L. Savala Age 85. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Senior Star Residence, Romeoville. He was a lifelong resident of the Lockport/Joliet area. A veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. Retired from Union Oil with over 35 years of service. Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving father and grandfather. Survived by three daughters, Marcella (Mauricio) Molina of Sparks, NV, Lorraine (Thomas) Reynolds of Oak Brook, and Pamela (Michael) Zientara of Fruitland Park, FL; five grandchildren, Kristen Mireles, Eugene (Sara) Friscia, Anthony (Amy) Friscia, Joseph (Lauren) Friscia, and Nicholas Zientara; five great-grandchildren, Nina Mireles, Derek Mireles, Gabriella Friscia, Sophia Friscia, and Eugene Friscia, Jr.; one sister, Josephina (late Robert) Cavada. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna (nee Lopez) Savala; one brother, Joseph; and three sisters, Louise, Mary, and Jane. Funeral Services for Ernest L. Savala will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to Church of St. Jude for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park where military honors will be accorded.
