Obituary of Gertrude Schauer

Gertrude E. Schauer (nee Pasdertz) Age 98. At rest Friday, October 3, 2008 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home. Born in Joliet to the late Anton and Edith (nee Musich) Pasdertz, she was a lifelong resident. Graduate of St. Raymond Grade School and St. Francis Academy. Member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond and the CCW. Surviving are her daughter, Leatrice "Lea" (Clarence) Kelly of Joliet; three grandchildren, Sue (Jon) Werger, Karen (Gregg) King and Paul (Cindy) Kelly; nine great-grandchildren, Andrea Werger; Mary, Christopher, Sarah, Katherine, Claire and Amy King; Colette and Joseph Kelly; one sister, Marguerite (late Matt) Stefanich. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Schauer (1985); one sister, Martella "Marty" (Bob) Gehrke; and one brother, Anton (Elizabeth) Pasdertz. Gertrude E. Schauer will Lie in State on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus, 604 N. Raynor Avenue, Joliet from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
