Obituary of Catherine Scheer

Scheer, Catherine (nee Loeffler) Age 77. Peacefully Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Born February 14, 1935 to the late William and Catherine (nee Murray) Loeffler. Member of the Ladies of the Moose Chapter 84. She enjoyed playing pinochle and playing board games with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the children and staff at Hufford Junior High School where she was a secretary for 20 years. Previously employed at Caterpillar Tractor Company. Survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Allen; devoted son, Allen of Joliet; son, David of Arizona; loving grandchildren, Nicole of Carterville, IL, Melissa, Kelly, Jenna and Jacob of Romeoville; sister, Mary (late John) Gusich of Richmond, VA; brother, William (Julia) Loeffler of Mims, FL; a very dear daughter-in-law, Sandra of Romeoville; and several dear friends, including Vicki and Rick Chapman of Carterville, IL. All friends and relatives are invited to gather at Holy Family Catholic Church in Shorewood on Saturday, August 18, 2012 where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
