Bernice E. Biernat (nee Ksiazak) Age 87. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. Surviving are two sons, Richard L. (Darlene) Biernat of Wisconsin and Robert J. Biernat of Joliet; two granddaughters, Donna (Mark) VanDyke of New Lenox, and Diane (Paul) Zakowski of New Lenox, IL; four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Kimi, Dominic and Sydney. One sister-in-law Helen Vercelli and several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her husband, Leo J. Biernat (1995); one grandson, David V. Biernat (1995); parents, Joseph and Mary (Lekostaj) Ksiazak; three sisters, Dorothy (Joe) Hochevar, Helen (Leo) Spolnik and Mary (Albert) Boese; three brothers, Joseph (Elanore) Ksiazak, Frank (Josephine) Ksiazak and an infant brother as well as her daughter-in-law Dorine M. Biernat. Bernice was a member of the Polish National Alliance and the Catholic Womens League of St. Paul the Apostle Church. Funeral Services for Bernice E. Biernat will be Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to St. Paul the Apostle Church would be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the services begin at: FRED C.
