Obituary of Susan Schumacher

Susan J. Schumacher "Susie" Age 59. Suddenly, Thursday, August 26, 2010 at her residence, as the result of an apparent heart attack. Born in Joliet, she was a lifelong Joliet area resident. Employed at Chet's Salon as a receptionist. Formerly employed by the Heritage Bank and Cornerstone Services. She was an avid golfer and tennis player. Susan's family was her life, and she was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph "Ozzie" and Winnie (nee Malone) Stariha; and her brother-in-law, Mike Schumacher. Survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Pat Schumacher; two sons, Patrick (Mary, nee Davilo) Schumacher and Kevin Schumacher; one daughter, Katie (Dean Klier) Schumacher all of Joliet; four sisters, Winnie Stariha, Mary Ann Stariha-Frescura, Carol (Gerald) Mahalik, and Paula (Ahmad) Namjoo; one brother, Joseph "Jake" (Lynn) Stariha; one aunt, Teresa (Don) DePratt; her mother-in-law, Doris Arlene (late Lester) Schumacher; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends also survive. Funeral Services for Susan J. Schumacher will be Monday, August 30, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. As it was Susan's request, Cremation Rites will be accorded following the funeral Mass.
