Obituary of Willfred Schure
Willfred A. Schure
Age 79. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights. Born in Apple River, IL, he was a resident of Joliet for many years before relocating to Braceville in 1988. Member of First Lutheran Church, Joliet. He retired in 1976 as a maintenance foreman; and was formerly employed by Material Service of Lockport (1948-1968), and Grundy Industries (1968-1976). He enjoyed working on cars, and in his younger years was an avid fisherman.
Survived by his wife of 59 years, Rose M. (nee Weese) Schure of Braceville; daughters, Wilma (Rick) Auteberry of Monticello, IL, and Michelle (Eberhard) Czok of Braidwood; son-in-law Jim Rogers; nine grandchildren including a special granddaughter, Morgan Rogers; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters-in-law, Vista McDonald of Florida and Esther Schure of Lockport; many nieces, nephews, and a great-aunt, Agnes Schure of Iowa.
Preceded in death by one daughter, Martha Rogers; five brothers, Kenneth, Melvin, Elmer, LaVerne and Norbert Schure; and his parents.
Willfred A. Schure will Lie in State on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at First Lutheran Church, 55 West Benton, Joliet from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at:
