"Bill"
Age 84, a lifetime Joliet resident, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
He attended St. Raymond Grade School and graduated from Joliet Catholic High School. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran who served during WWII. A member of American Legion Harwood Post #5 and the IBEW. He was retired from the E J & E Railroad.
Beloved husband to Mary (nee Reinhart) Shea; loving father of Michelle (Frank) Zambrano, Peg (Peter) Contos, Maureen (Dave) Rogina, Eileen (Ray) Nonnie and Laura (Greg) Wilkinson. Cherished grandfather of Michael (Heather), Jonathan and Amy; Jennifer; Eric, Kevin, Matt, Mike and Mallorie; and Alexa. Fond great-grandpa of four. Dear brother of Connor (Jewel) Shea. Proud and devoted uncle of Kathy (Ed) Wilhelmi and Lynn (Jim) Samalea.
Preceded in death by his parents, Florence (nee Wagner) and William Shea, Sr. and one sister Jean (George) Poper.
Funeral Services for Bill Shea will be held Friday, August 19, 2011, 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice. Visitation Thursday, 4-7 p.m. at:
