Obituary of Francis Siegel JR

Siegel, Jr. Francis L. "Larry" Age 72, went to the Lord February 23, 2012 after a brief illness. Born September 2, 1939 in Joliet. Raised on the family farm on Weber Road in Lockport Township. Attended Wilson and St. Raymond Grade Schools, Joliet Catholic High School and St. Mary's College, Winona, MN, graduating with a B.S. in Accounting. Employed by Signode Steel, Chicago as a systems analyst. Self-employed as a photographer, videographer and award manufacturer operating F. L. Siegel Jr. Studios on Western Avenue in Chicago. Photographed many weddings throughout the greater Chicagoland area. Larry was beloved by all who met him and his Christian values were extended to family, friends and those blessed to know him. Our lives were enriched by his life guided by the Gospel. Larry was predeceased by his mother Veronica Sohan Siegel (1939), his father Francis L. Siegel Sr. (1998), stepmother Marie Wallace Siegel (1989), and an infant brother Joseph Francis (1937). Survived by his sisters Jeanne (Ed deceased) Albrecht, Anita (Tim) Drendel, Mary (Ken) Wheaton and Beth (Bob) Nelson and by brothers Judge Richard (Christine), Arthur (Joan), Paul (Susan) and Bishop Joseph Siegel. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and cousins. Funeral Services for Francis L. Siegel, Jr. will be Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to the Cathedral of St. Raymond, 604 N. Raynor Ave., Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Committal prayers to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
