Obituary of Elsie Smith

Elsie D. Smith (nee Anderson) Age 89, of Crest Hill, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born to the late Charles and Ellen Norgard Anderson, she was a lifelong area resident. Preceded in death by her husband, William Smith; her parents; three sisters, Mary Wilkens, Helen Adams and Jean Anderson; three brothers, Clarence (Ruby) Anderson, Andrew (Harriet) Anderson, and Alfred Anderson; nephews, Kenneth O'Dell, Sr., Donald O'Dell, Robert O'Dell, Chuck Anderson and David Anderson; niece, Nancy Anderson. Survived by special niece, Tasia Dawn O'Dell; special nephew, William (Diane) Wilkens; sister-in-law, Dorothy Anderson; special great-aunt to Kenneth (Cathie) O'Dell, Jr., Kelly (Tom Golden) Cruise and Mary Ellen (Terry) Fry. She loved her numerous nieces and nephews; her extended family, The Bonds Family; special neighbors, Tom and Joyce Thompson, and Ken and Lynn Brintnall; and last but not least, her little companions Princess and Emily Ann. Funeral Services for Elsie D. Smith will be Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.
